LAS VEGAS – The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway has announced an all-star lineup of announcers to begin the 2007 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series racing schedule. A core team of Las Vegas-based motorsports enthusiasts will be joined by guest announcers from some of America's top short tracks as the Bullring kicks off another exciting season of short-track racing. The local announcing team will feature Dan Lea, a longtime Las Vegas radio personality and an avid racing fan. Lea will lead the show from the public address booth and will treat the fans to a variety of special promotions and show features.

Joining Lea will be former racer George Antill. Antill will work from the infield and pit area to provide interesting behind-the-scenes reports and will handle on-track winner interviews following the feature events.

“Dan and George have a great chemistry and will work together to treat our fans to a great show,” said Chris Blair, LVMS vice president of racing operations. “Dan’s experience in local radio and his knowledge of racing will be very valuable, while George’s technical knowledge and competition experience will provide a unique angle for our fans.”

Each week the show will feature special guest announcers from some of America's premier short tracks. Chris Stepan, who announces at Cedar Lake Speedway in Cedar Lake, Wisc., will handle opening-night duties. The following week, the microphone will be handled by Toby Kruse of Des Moines, Iowa. Kruse was once referred to as “one of the greatest announcers in short track racing today,” by Dick Berggren's Speedway Illustrated magazine. Kruse also handled the announcing duties for this year’s NASCAR Weekend at LVMS.

“Chris and Toby have announced at many of our special events in the past and we welcome them to the Bullring,” Blair said. “They are relentless in their desire to entertain and educate our race fans and we're delighted to have them join us in our opening events.”
