KYLE, Texas -- A short hiatus from racing and a move back to his roots in Burley, Id., have fueled the competitive spirit of 2003 NASCAR Winston West Series Champion Scott Lynch, who makes his return to the track this Saturday at Thunder Hill Raceway.

With West Series career stats that include 48 starts, 1 championship, 8 wins, 24 top-5s, and 36 top-10s, Lynch’s return should prove nothing short of thrilling. He will be found behind the wheel of startup team Windward Racing’s No. 29 Jasper Engines and Transmissions Dodge.

“It’s been longer than any true racer can bear,” says Lynch. “I can’t wait to get back to business on a race track, and what better way to do it than with Jasper Engines and Transmissions on board.”

Aside from being on the car, a JASPER transmission and gears will also be under the hood of the No. 29 Dodge to be hot-footed by Lynch. These internal racing organs are the very same that power the No. 2 and No. 12 driven by Kurt Busch and Ryan Newman in the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series.
