ALLSTATE TEXAS THUNDER 150 RESULTS

KYLE, Texas –-- Scott Lynch opened up the 2007 season for the NASCAR Grand National Division, West Series with a win in the Allstate Texas Thunder 150 before a packed crowd at Thunder Hill Raceway in Kyle, Texas, on Saturday.

Lynch, the 2003 series champion, battled past two-time series champion Mike Duncan to post his ninth career win.

Lynch, who did not compete last season, made an inside pass on Duncan on lap 69. From there he held off challenges from several competitors and then held on in a final two-lap dash to the finish, as a late-race caution extended the race distance to 155 laps with a green-white-checkered finish.

Following Lynch across the finish line was Mike David, followed by Duncan. Brett Thompson was fourth, with series rookie Jason Bowles topping a talented freshman class for fifth.
