Source: DaveGrayson
In modified racing action Jerry Snell won his second, consecutive, feature in a very convincing fashion. Snell came off of his front row starting berth and led the entire race flag to flag. David Gerchman, Randy Forbis, Chris Gerchman and Tim Richter followed under the checkers to complete the top five. The modified feature was a total racing effort, by the entire field, that was completely free of caution flags. In the preliminary events Scott Brown won the trophy dash while Chris Gerchman took the heat race. In victory lane Snell said his team put their set up emphasis on the main event adding "this car works good in the mains. We don't worry about the dashes and the heats, we just concentrate on the main event and it always comes in for us." Snell Racing is also concentrating on their appearances in the Lucas Oil-Hoosier Tires Series which features a modified points series at the Havasu 95 Speedway, the Lucas Oil I-10 Speedway and the Orange Show Speedway. "Those races feature 75 lappers so we'll have to concentrate on getting our car to run the same at the beginning as it does at the end. We're working on it and we seem to be having a little bit of luck too." In Legend car action Lancaster-California's Broc Murphy pulled off the hat trick by winning all three of the events. But it wasn't an easy time for him because he had to deal with the presence of Tim Gewecke on his rear bumper during all three races. After pulling his car into the victory lane Murphy said "we ran a real close race. There was a little bumping once, coming off of turn four, but I really had fun racing against him." In the Bandelero division Andre Prescott also pulled off a hat trick and won all three of the division's events including the feature which he won by a half a straightaway lead. Tommy Kelly, Shelby Orosco and Trent Kassik followed him under the checkers.
Much to the crowd's delight, 18 Factory Stocks started their 12 lap main. This always fun division spent more time driving under the yellow flag than they did under the green and lived up to their racing is rubbing reputation. Another part of the fun was the donation bucket where the fans contributed money to the driver's purse to show their appreciation for the entertainment they provide. The $145.20 winner's share went to Andrew "The Kimminator" Kimmons who somehow survived the carnage to lead all of the laps. According to official speedway records, Al Shaw, John Thorp, Mark Berlant and Joe Stewart completed the top five.
