DAYTONA BEACH, FL – The American Speed Association Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by Echo Outdoor Power Equipment has signed Wade Lynn from St. Augustine, Florida for the inaugural 2007 season.

“Racing in the Midwest is a whole different ball game than it is in Florida. The racing is cleaner, the tracks are promoted well, and the Tour is respected more because of it. Also the fact we are running under the American Speed Association banner means the rules make for more competitive racing,” explained Lynn on why he is making the haul North.

Lynn is a 15-year racing veteran and has a World Karting Association Gold Cup Series national championship, nine Thunder Truck wins in a single season at St. Augustine Speedway, and a Rookie of the Year title in the Late Model division at St. Augustine with an overall point finish of fourth to his credit. He cites his home track as New Smyrna Speedway but quickly adds that Raceway Park in Shakopee, Minnesota is his favorite venue.

“The ASA Midwest Tour is different from many of my past experiences because it seems like every place I’ve raced has no limiting factors on motors and cars. The Late Model classes I am familiar with are pretty much ‘run what you brung’ so I’m thankful for this rulebook,” Lynn added, showing relief.

Aside from racing Lynn enjoys riding four-wheelers with his wife and children Jackson and Wyatt and works as a heavy equipment salesman in the Southeast.

“It’s nice to see major sponsors like Kwik Trip, Echo Outdoor Power Equipment, and Hype Energy taking interest in a regional Tour like this. This is real Saturday night racing where local guys get to match up with each other on different tracks around the Midwest. This is a big deal to us as drivers and to the Saturday night local fans who are there week after week cheering on their local heroes. This means we get to go racing and that’s our whole world,” Lynn expressed with gratitude.

Lynn is an expected registrant for the first ASA Midwest Tour event scheduled for April 28 at Minnesota's Elko Speedway. He can be contacted by e-mailing scequipco@bellsouth.net.
