ALL AMERICAN SPEEDWAY GEARS UP TO MANAGE NASCAR SUCCESSWith standing-room-only crowds at the first NASCAR race of the All American Speedway, 2 weeks ago, ticket sales were closed before the green flag dropped on the first race. Management expected greater than normal crowds after becoming one of NASCAR’s Whelen All American Series home tracks in 2007, but the massive arrival of race fans was unexpected.

Gearing up for the second NASCAR Late Model races this weekend, the Speedway has brought in 17 additional staff to assist with guest services, parking, security, and grounds. Food and beer concessionaires have not only increased staff and added additional cash registers, but have doubled their orders.

It is not just fans that have discovered the local Speedway, which has been in existence since 1955, racing professionals have heard about the track improvements and driver entries are up as well. Processes have been put in place to streamline the racing events so that fans can enjoy a fast-paced, full night of racing.

To add to the NASCAR points incentive of racing in Roseville, is the $2,500 pay check that goes to the winner of each of the Western Late Model 100-lap feature races this season. Also Chevrolet and Rex Hutchinson have supplied a new dressed crate motor to be awarded by a drawing at the last race of the season from all Late Model competitor/cars that participated in all remaining Western Late Model races starting April 28.

Saturday’s All American Speedway line up features Late Model Twin 50s, Mini Stock, Legends and WSRA events. Western Scale Racing Association cars include Mini Cups which are 1/2 scale and Baby Grands which are 2/3 scale of full size race cars, with young drivers ages eight to sixteen, racing at speeds up to 70 mph.

Tickets for the All American Speedway races are available in advance at the Placer County Fair Office at 800 All America Boulevard, Roseville. Gates open at 3:00 with racing starting at 6:00. Fans should plan to secure their seats early. For information visit www.allamericanspeedway,com.
