DS RACING HEADED TO STATELINE

The ASA Northwest Series will visit Stateline Speedway this weekend for the Access Road Solutions 150 and DS Racing driver Travis Bennett can hardly wait. Making his first trip to the 1/4 mile oval as a competitor, Bennett looks forward to the challenge of learning a new track.

"My brother raced at Stateline and I've watched a 200 lapper there before, but thats it. It looks like a fun track to race on and I think it's great that we are travelling somewhere new," said Bennett.

The 2007 season hasnt started out exactly how the DS Racing crew had planned with cut tires at Tenino and brake issues at Yakima, but Bennett has no doubt the team will make a turn around this weekend.

"We've had great cars at both races, especially Yakima, so I think we can just build on that and find something that works for us this weekend."

Bennett currently sits ninth in series points, in a field of talented and competitive drivers. The top of the board is tied with Jay Sauls at 320 points as well as Ron Eaton. Besides the talented drivers, the ASA Northwest Series has brought fun back into racing, with what many describe as a relaxed environment.

"This is the most fun I've ever had racing," said Bennett. "Each driver out there is very good and for the most part cars arent being torn up. It's just fun to go out and race with guys like Brandon, Jeff, Jason, Jay, all of them. We all respect eachother and I think it's a great show for the fans."

DS Racing would like to send their thoughts and prayers to Debbi Miller for the loss of her husband Wayne Miller. Wayne was a staple in the Northwest Racing community and he will be deeply missed.

"Although we will be racing Saturday, our thoughts will be on Wayne Miller. I was shocked to hear the news and it is a loss to our community. Wayne has been around for years and he has helped a lot of people," said Bennett.
