RIVERSIDE, California --Randel King will celebrate a milestone of sorts on June 28, 2007 as he will turn 16 years old on Thursday. The real celebration will come on Saturday as the teenage racer will begin the next chapter in his racing career as he makes his debut in the NASCAR Super Late Model division at Tucson Raceway Park. In a collective effort between Randel King Racing and Unlimited Motorsports of San Bernardino, CA Randel will attempt to race both the ASA Speed Truck race and the Super Late Model feature in the same night.

“This exciting offer just came about in the last week, so we will be working with Rob and Ron Kiemele of Unlimited to make sure we take a competitive car to Tucson” stated King when questioned about the opportunity. The team will have a few tricks up their sleeves as setup help will come from a well respected and multi time winner on the 3/8 mile oval in the form of Chuck Wares. King’s Speed Truck Crew Chief Dallas Leininger puts it this way “Chuck will give us the package necessary to be fast out of the box as he knows his way around that track like no other”.

Randel is enjoying a very competitive season in the ASA Speed Truck sitting third in points, 19 markers behind the leader heading to Tucson this weekend. His season has consisted of 1 Fast Time award, 1 Main Event win (OSS, March 17), 4 top fives, and 5 top tens in 6 races so far.
