NASCAR NEXTEL CUP SERIES STAR KYLE BUSCH RETURNING HOME TO COMPETE IN NIGHT OF FIRE AT THE BULLRING AT LAS VEGAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY ON TUESDAYLAS VEGAS – NASCAR Nextel Cup Series star and Las Vegas native Kyle Busch has scheduled a homecoming for next week and will compete in Tuesday’s Night of Fire at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Busch, who drives the No. 5 Kellogg’s Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports in the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series, will compete in a Super Late Model.

Busch is no stranger to LVMS’ 3/8-mile asphalt short track – he and his older brother, Kurt, honed their racing skills at the Bullring prior to graduating to NASCAR’s premier series. Kyle also won his first Super Late Model race – in his first time behind the wheel of a Super Late Model – at the Bullring in 2002.

“We're going to come out and race in the Super Late Model division here at Las Vegas,” Busch said. “I'm excited to be able to make my return and I'm looking forward to that. Tuesday will be the first race, and we're also looking at the (Nov. 8-10) Fall Classic.”

The Bullring’s annual Independence Day holiday extravaganza will include short-track stock car racing, fireworks, Monster Trucks, a Jet Car burn, a D1 Grand Prix drifting exhibition, freestyle quad exhibition and a Bullring driver autograph session. Reigning Miss Las Vegas, Amanda Kunzi, will sing the National Anthem.

Spectator gates will open at 5 p.m., with qualifying at 5:30 p.m. and racing at 6 p.m. Classes will include Super Late Models (featuring NASCAR Nextel Cup Series star and Las Vegas native Kyle Busch), the USAC Ford Focus Midget Series, IMCA Modifieds and Legends Cars. Adult spectator admission is $15, children 6-12 are $5 and kids 5 and under will be admitted free. The Bullring offers $1 hot dogs, $1 beer and $1 soda at every race event.

Fans may purchase tickets in advance by calling the LVMS ticket office at (702) 644-4444 or online at www.LVMS.com.

Tickets for the Bullring’s popular drive-in section, the Stockyard, already are sold out.
