Source: Hardin Racing/rw
![]() TOOELE, Utah – Alta Dena Dairy Racing heads to the Big O Tires 150 at Miller Motorsports Park on Saturday, July 14. This is the inaugural race for the NASCAR Grand National Division, West Series at Miller Motorsports Park and the only race in Utah this season. Eric Hardin, driver of the No. 5 Alta Dena Dairy Chevrolet, is seventh in points for the series, only 168 points behind first place. Hardin is a crowd favorite this weekend because of his off-road racing background. Off-road racers are known for their left and right hand racing skills at road course tracks. “I’m really looking forward to this track,” Hardin said. “This is a fast track, and it’s new to all of us West drivers. Nobody will have the upper hand. We’ll all have to figure it out on our own.” This is the 10th race of the season and the second of three road courses for the West Series. Miller Motorsports Park was built last year and has four possible track configurations. Alta Dena Dairy Racing is vying for championship this season. Hardin needs a top three finish to start closing the gap between him and 1st place driver Mike David. A road course like Miller Motorsports Park is just what he needs to achieve this. “Eric’s consistency and points standings have been what’s impressed us the most this season,” said John Keith, director of sales for Alta Dena Dairy. “He has made this a very exciting year for our company.” Miller Motorsports Park is hosting four races on Saturday including Formula 2000, Formula TR and Air Powered Mustang GT Intervals. The NASCAR Grand National Division, West Series race is the main event and consists of 41 laps on a 3.06-mile road course. The green flag drops for the Big O Tires 150 at 6:25 p.m. MST. Practice is from 10:30 a.m. – 12:20 p.m. with qualifying beginning at 2:40 p.m. ALTA DENA DAIRY Committed to the highest standard of dairy processing, Alta Dena Dairy has been a part of southern California since 1945.
