MEIER AWARDED 2007 BEACON OF LIGHT AWARD

The night, which was hosted by Le Cordon Blue, was held to honor six After-School All-Stars who received college scholarships or continuation scholarships. “It was a very special event for my family and I to attend” stated Meier. “Over the last couple years, I have grown very close with the All-Stars as well as the individuals who run this amazing program. It truly is an honor to be associated with such an outstanding organization.”

Jacquie Locks, the Executive Director of the Greater Las Vegas After-School All-Stars presented Jace with a striking trophy and $1,000 check for his accomplishment. “Jace has been selected to receive this award based on his personal accomplishments for enhancing the health and well-being of the youth in Las Vegas” explained Locks. “He has shown outstanding commitment to the mission of our program and it has been a pleasure working with him.”

Meier is an 18 year old Las Vegas native, currently racing for Tim Huddleston's High Point Racing team. Meier recently graduated from Spring Valley High School with a 4.414 GPA where he was the President of his Senior Class, President of Spring Valley's DECA chapter, and a recognized Peer Mentor. He will be attending Belmont Abbey College in North Carolina on a full academic scholarship beginning this fall.
