STEWART TAKES HOME 360 NATIONALS TITLE FROM SKAGIT SPEEDWAY ALGER, Washington -- Shane Stewart became the 18th Bob's Burgers and Brew 360 Nationals Champion in Skagit Speedway history with his 40-lap win tonight at the high banked 3/10th mile oval. Stewart joins Steve Kent and Bobby Burrow as the only three drivers to ever win both the 360 Nationals and Jim Raper Memorial Dirt Cup, the two biggest races annually at Skagit Speedway.

With points set from Friday nights racing action, Stewart started on the pole of the A Scramble which decides top six starting positions of the A Main. Roger Crockett led all 6 laps with Stewart running second setting up the front row for the A Main.

At the drop of the initial green flag Stewart rocketed around Crockett for the early lead. Back mid-pack Canadian driver Casey Adams went airborne bringing out the first red and creating a restart. On the restart Stewart duplicated the fete sailing out to a big lead and hitting traffic on the 4th lap. On lap 6 Crockett brought out the yellow flag when he slowed coming out of four the victim of a U-Joint failure ending his evening. Robby Vaughn was caught up in the incident with nowhere to go and damage to extensive to continue. The race went green for the next 29 laps with Stewart leading Brock Lemley, JJ Hickle and a fast closing Travis Rutz who started 22nd and had worked his way into third before blowing a motor to bring out the red on lap 35. Rutz had charged his way through the field and the defending champion of the event was trying his hardest to become a two-time champion with the run. Stewart endured a few more late race yellows but came home ahead of Lemley, Friday night winner Mitch Olson, local Steve Kilcup and former Dirt Cup champion Jonathon Allard fifth.

Winning the six-lap B and C Scrambles were Dan Pierson and Craig Stidham.

Randy Pierce led all 15 laps of the D Main and Greg Sandquist led all 15 laps of the C Main. The B Main winner was Jason Bloodgood.

Derek Holmwood won another 1200cc Mini Sprint feature at Skagit Speedway leading all 15 laps of their event.
