The very best racing seen all year long in the Speedway Chevrolet Super Stock division at Evergreen Speedway happened on a threatening to rain, 3/8's oval race night. As action packed racing was happening mid pack the top four cars ran side by side in a near perfect trophy dash configuration and that was at the half way point! Naima Lang was putting on a strong show, then John Zaretzke worked himself under Lang and the side-by-side battle began. Lap after lap they raced until a slight bump against each other coming out of turn four, sent Zaretzke spinning down the front stretch bringing out the caution. With two laps to go, Harding was finally able to get underneath Lang and pass him for his second win in a row. Roger Habich rounded out the top three with Rookie of the Year leader Mike Holden just behind him.
The Bombers raced into what some might call a nightmare. Caution after caution, with the track oiled down numerous times, and a few wrecked cars mixed up with a drizzle that began when the green flag fell, made for a bad nights sleep for some. In the end, Scott Mann went from green to checkered to win his first race of the season. Travis Blackwood and Last week's winner James Mugge finished second and third respectively. Troubles for points leader Lane Sundholm has once again jumbled the already hotly contested points championship.
In the Super Figure Eights "Bobblehead" Bill Wade won his third race of the season. In a typical survival of the fittest race, points leader Sean Peters did what he had to do finishing second as Troy Simianer, second in points, went to the pits on a hook early.
Ashley Schukar had tears in her eyes as she gladly exclaimed, "I beat my brother!" Stinger Eights were wild and entertaining as usual. "The Wizard" Ben Chandler and Mike Middleton made the last lap daring and exciting as they sliced and diced through cars to finish second and third.
