Last August, Brooke Tatnell stood on the winners podium at Skagit Speedway with a $25,000.00 check in had as winner of the Saturday night feature at Skagit Speedway. Tonight he collected another $8,000.00 to win his second straight WoO Feature at the track and opening night of the N C Machinery / Caterpillar Clash.
For most of the 30-lap feature, Tatnell had his hands full with Daryn Pittman. Pittman and Tatnell exchanged the lead and slide-jobs for the lead multiple times, exciting the huge crowd. The other great battle to watch was between local favorite Jason Solwold and 20-time champion Steve Kinser for third. Point leader Donny Schatz spun in turn four on the opening lap and had to restart in 26th place.
The twelve lap B Main was won by local driver Steve Kilcup with WoO rookie Sam Hafertepe Jr. second, Danny Bullock third and fourth with the final transfer spot to the A Main Jeff Hodgson.
The 8-lap Crane Cams Dash to determine the top 10 starting positions was won by Tatnell.
Canadian Tim Gee was the 10-lap C Main event winner taking second place finisher JJ Hickle with him to the B.
Heat race wins went to Kerry Madsen, Tim Shaffer, Daryn Pittman and Jason Meyers.
Jason Sides set fast time to start the evening at 11.343.
Accompanying the World of Outlaws were the Wilson Auto Broker Outlaw Hornets. Ken Higby had a clean sweep with a heat race win and the main event victory. Clayton Delano won the other heat race. Race Results -- 08/18/2007 | World of Outlaws | Results:
