O'CONNELL RACING TAKES ON SUNCHASER 1000 IN ROLEX SERIES SEASON FINALE

ORANGE COUNTY, California --O'Connell Racing (OConnellRacing.com), a Southern California based Grand Am Rolex Series and NASCAR road racing team announced today that Kevin O'Connell, Michael Speakman and IMSA driver Kevin Roush will co drive in the final race of the Grand Am season in the Sunchaser 1000 at Miller Motorsports Park in Salt Lake City, Utah. Kevin Roush co drove with OCR in January for the Rolex 24 at Daytona where he was instrumental in the ealry morning wet conditions which netted the team a 10th place finish in GT overall.

The team will again campaign a Porsche 997 GT-3 sponsored by Direct TV. Unique to Miller Motorsports Park, the track has an overall length of four and one half miles per lap with 24 turns. Kevin O'Connell commented, "Miller is a stand alone track with so many different turns. We ran there this summer in NASCAR and did not run the interior part of the course. I understand it takes half a day of testing to learn the nuances of the track. Kevin Roush has raced here before and Mike has never seen the facillty. As a team of drivers we will take the Wednesday promoter test day to get up the speed."

The race will be broadcast live on SPEED.
