BEDDOW LOOKS FOR WESTCAR CHAMPIONSHIP SATURDAY AT UKIAHJarred Beddow of Roseville, CA will settle the 2007 Eldorado Westcar Late Model Series championship, as the series will conclude its competitive 2007 season with a 100 lap event Saturday at Ukiah Speedway in Ukiah, CA.

Beddow, in his rookie season in Late Models, has been dominate from the beginning of the season. Beddow picked up a dash win in his series debut back at Ukiah in March, and has carried that momentum all the way through the seven round series.

Beddow will only need to start Saturday’s feature event to claim the prestigious title over 2005 Rookie of the Year Bobby Butler of Sacramento, CA.

Byron Gonzales of Carmichael, CA won the inaugural series title in 2005, with Shannon Mansch of Roseville, CA winning the championship in 2006.

Beddow will be looking for his first series win on Saturday night as well.

2007 series winners Kyle Cattanach of Anderson, CA and Mike Doss of Upper Lake, CA will both be in competition on Saturday.

Cattanach is coming off of a fourth place finish in the NASCAR Grand National West Series at Altamont Motorsports Park last Saturday night. Doss will be looking for his second win on his home track against the Westcar regulars.

Another Ukiah regular, John Dalerio, will be making his series debut on Saturday night.

Saturday’s race will also determine third in the points standings, with just 12 points between long-time series regulars Paul Hansen, Randy Reeves, and Brian Koski.
