MAJORS WINS SECOND NORTHWEST PRO-4 TRUCK CHAMPIONSHIP

Despite only winning two races this season Jason Majors was able to remain consistent and bring home his second Northwest Pro-4 Truck Championship. Majors has been a strong competitor in the Northwest Pro-4 Truck series the last three years. Majors has won 13 races out of his 28 starts.

"The Truck series is growing and the competition is getting stronger", Majors stated.

Majors racing started off the season with a track record at Stateline Speedway in Post Falls, Idaho with a lap time of 14.810. Only to later be rained out. "We had a good truck that night and I was bummed the weather played a part in the outcome. We worked all day to fine tune the Callaway Fitness Chevrolet and it showed in qualifying, it would have been exciting to see what we could have done in the race."

Majors, who has been fortunate in seasons past, never experienced a hard hit until the second race of the season at Port Angeles Speedway. " The rear end locked up solid, and sent our Spokane Pump Chevrolet off turn three and into a tire. It took us nearly an hour to get the truck on the trailer." With a race in two week Majors Racing had some work ahead of them. Their hard work payed off with Majors recording his first win of the season the next race at South Sound Speedway. "It was a good win for the whole team, it got us back on track after the wreck the race before."

Majors was able to stay consistent and keep his Image Auto-body Chevrolet in the top 5 the last 9 races of the season. "You cant win the race if you don't finish it" Majors said. Majors Racing was focused on each race and knew the points would all work out at the end. The Truck series saw as many as 16 trucks this season. The Northwest Pro 4 Trucks had good truck count compared to some of the series in the Northwest. The Truck club looks to build on what was accomplished this year and carry it right into next season.

When asked, what Majors plans are for next season he noted, "Right now I will go through the truck and get it ready for next season. If I got the right opportunity my goal is to eventually move up to the next level."

Jason Majors will be crowed Champion October 6th at the Muckleshoot Casino. Majors would like to thank all of his family member that are dedicated race fans, his supportive girlfriend Riana, and his sponsors, Callaway Fitness, Spokane Pump, Pacific Pools, Mary Asplund with Crescent Realty, Image Auto-body, Cope Brothers, and Canyon Auto####
