ALEX HAASE CONCLUDES ROOKIE SEASON IN NASCAR WEST SERIES

Alex Haase, the 17 year old rookie ended the season finale with an 8th place finish at Altamont Motorsports Park the last weekend. Alex was able to take advantage this year of the age change to the Grand National West Series and was able to compete at the age of 17. He was able to gain alot of experience and also meet alot of great people this year. He competed on tracks that were new to him with a much heavier car than what he had been used to. He ended the year 9th in points and he finished 2nd in the Sunoco Rookie of the Year chase. He did get the "Most Improved Driver" award for the year. He would really like to thank crew chief, Mike Naake and the entire team for all the hard work and effort they put into the season. He would also like to thank Kyle Busch. "I would not have been able to compete in this series without his support, he has given me a great opportunity." stated Alex. He would also like to thank the car owners, Jimmy Dick and Mark Golembeski. Alex will now start to prepare for the big Toyota Showdown which is October 19 and 20th at Irwindale Speedway
