ANDERSON, California -- Mother Nature shunted the famed Bay Cities Racing Association DMS Race Products 2007 Midget series race scheduled for Saturday September 22 at the speedy 3/8-mile Shasta Speedway in gorgeous Shasta, California.

The rainout is the second of the year, the other being a scheduled dirt race at Placerville Speedway in April.

With Mother Nature's victory over what would have been the final of nine DMS Race Products BCRA pavement Midget features of 2007, Ione's 16-year-old sensation Justin Grant claims the BCRA DMS Race Products Midget series pavement driver and owner's points championship.

Grant claims the pavement driver's race by 41 tallies over Sacramento's Ralphie “The Racer” Cortez, 7-time BCRA champion Floyd Alvis, 2002 Car owner and third-place driver Bill Lindsey and Fresno's David Prickett.

Grant also claims the pavement owner's title behind-the-wheel of his #30 Beast/Esslinger over Cortez' #31 Shores-Cortez Special Beast/Sesco-Mopar, Alvis' #18 Champion Automotive Stealth/Van Dyne, Jim Fowler's #61 Beast/Esslinger & Beast/Gaerte and Prickett's #15 Neverlift Motorsports Hawk & Stealth Van Dyne.

The DMS Race Products BCRA Midget series concludes its season this weekend, partaking in a two-day race at King's Speedway in Hanford on Friday and Saturday, September 28-29
