YAKIMA SPEEDWAY ADDS ANOTHER BONUS TO FALL CLASSICELLENSBURG, Washington -- Ted Pollock, owner of the ASA Yakima Speedway, announced an added bonus to the winner of the 20th annual Fall Classic. Any first time winner of the historic race will pick up an added $1000.00 in prize money.

With the pre entry list growing every day and the number of high quality entries, with a good chance of winning, this added bonus will only add excitement to the event.

The winner of the Fall classic will take home $10,000.00 for first place, plus $1,000.00 from the Ashley Bergman Memorial, an additional $1,000.00 for a first time winner and an extra $2,000.00 if they qualify first or second and elect to start at the back of the field. A possible $14,000.00 payday. In addition, past Classic winners, race winners and selected racers will compete in the Race Of Champions on Friday evening. The ROC pays $1,000.00 to the winner is a short distance event. Some teams have entered both the Limited Late Model race and the Super Late Model event. If a team were to win both, with $5,000.00 to win for the Limited Late Model race, the total could reach $19,000.00 for the weekends events.

“When I looked over the entries and saw all of the top quality racers entered, some that have never won the Classic before, I wanted to add to the excitement for the fans by putting up an extra incentive, “ Pollock stated. He goes on to say, “ This years edition of the Fall Classic has all of the markings of the best one yet. The drivers list includes the very best teams from throughout the Northwest.”

Action starts on Friday with practice until 5:00. First round of qualifying will begin at 5:30 with the, much anticipated, Race of Champions set to go at approximately 8:00. Saturday the events start at 12:00 with qualifying, dashes, heat races, the Hobby main event and the 125 lap Limited Late Model, 125 lap main. The 20th edition of the Fall Classic is slated to take the green at 1:00 on Sunday.####
