20TH ANNUAL FALL CLASSIC DRAWS 3 CHAMPIONSYAKIMA, Washington -- It is time for the annual season ending event for the Northwest. This year’s 20th annual ‘Fall Classic’ at Yakima Speedway has many of the Northwest’s best Late Model stock car racers heading to the fabled .500-mile oval. Three 2007 champions will headline the 200-lap Bud Clarey Toyota main on Sunday afternoon September 30. The three day classic also draws the best in the west Hobby Stock, Street Stock and Limited Late Model racers.

The 2007 ASA Northwest Tour champion BJ Tidrick (Yakima, WA) will try to add the coveted ‘Fall Classic’ title to a memorable season. Tidrick will have to go up against the hottest Late Model driver in 2007. Gary Lewis (Snohomish, WA) the ARCA West Champion while winning 4 AW LMCS mains on his way to his first title of the traveling series also won the Montana and Idaho 200’s. In addition Lewis won an ASANWT event. All added to his 2 NASCAR Elite Division Championships Lewis will be a tough foe for everyone.

Dave Garber (Spokane, WA) fresh off his 2007 championship of the Inland Northwest Super Stock Association will vie for the classic crown.

Others on hand that always earn everyone’s respect include 4-time NASCAR Elite Champion Garrett Evans (E. Wenatchee, WA), Pete Harding (Surrey, B.C.) NASCAR Elite Champion, Travis Bennett (Ellensburg, WA) 3-wins in 2007 on the ASANWT circuit, Brandon Riehl (Boring, OR). Others expected are Jason Fraser (Snohomish, WA), Kevin Richards (Newman Lake, WA), Mike and Dan Obrist (Portland, OR).

Drivers from four Western States and two Provinces of Canada will take on the challenge of winning a classic title in their respective division.

Over thirty-five drivers are expected in each of the Limited Late Model and Late Model Divisions. Over 200 are expected overall for the three day event.

Friday September 28 starts the three day affair. After a full day of practice for all divisions there will be first-day qualifying for Limited and Late Models starting at 5:30pm followed by the 20th Annual Race of Champions. Saturday the 29th gets its start at 12:00pm with qualifying for the Hobby Stocks, Street Stocks and 2nd day qualifying for the Limited and Late Models. The day includes trophy dashes, heat races and capped off with a 60-lap Hobby Stock Main and 125-lap main for the Limited Late Models. Day three on Sunday at 1:00pm features a 75-lap Street Stock main and the 200-lap Bud Clarey Toyota - Ashley Bergman Memorial 20th Annual Fall Classic for the Late Models.
