15 Laps: Winning Time 15:39.201

Todd LeDuc captured his first Pro 2 win of the season in the Jason Baldwin Memorial Cup. Rob MacCachren was the leader at the restart and spun out on lap 11 towards the start/finish line and LeDuc led the remaining 3 laps. \

“This car came alive today,”said LeDuc. “This morning we were the fastest in qualifying and it showed today.Ricky and I have had some great racing today. Everything worked great today for my truck.”

“Jerry was running so hard, he was charging really hard and in the last lap he almost caught me for second. It was really great race,”said Ricky Johnson.

“Ricky is very competitive, it was great racing, I was fighting with him all day,”said Whelchel. “Todd ran a great race his first win.”

Pro 4 Recap

Scott Douglas and Curt LeDuc both hit the barrier on turn 4 and the field then restarted the race.

After the restart on the first lap Johnny Greaves led the next 9 laps followed by Adrian Cenni, Rick Huseman and Carl Renezeder in that order until they got to the mandatory restart.

At lap 9 mandatory restart Greaves took the lead but was bumped from behind by Adrian Cenni and flipped out of the lead. Cenni then took the lead and had to pit at lap 12 and Carl Renezeder took the lead for the remaing 3 laps for the Pro 4 win.

Paul Tracy finished in fifth place in his first CORR event.

Renezeder:”Today I tried to keep my nose clean, the race came to me today. I set my game plan. I’m really happy.

Huseman, “After the win in Antelope Valley the truck continues to run great. I had lots of luck today. I’m pretty happy with it.

I tried to get up on the inside and couldn’t get to him.

Coyne: “We got caught in a couple of tangles but it was a real horserace today. We’re excited, had a lot of fun today

Recap:

Dan Vanden Heuvel won his first CORR race of the season.

At mandatory restart after nine laps, Dan Vanden Heuvel led from the start with Ricky Johnson, Todd LeDuc, Alan Pflueger and Jerry Whelchel trailing in that same order through the opening nine laps.

After restart, Vanden Heuvel held the lead and went wire-to-wire.
