DILLON, South Carolina -- Last Saturday’s Seneca Fall Spectacular was filled with excitement, appreciation, and entertainment for race teams and race fans alike. With record race car and pit entries, it was the perfect way to end the season to determine the new ASA-sanctioned Dillon Motor Speedway Track Champions from each racing division. In fact, the name of the race, “Fall Spectacular,” sums it up because everything about last Saturday was nothing less than spectacular.

To celebrate the success of ASA-sanctioned Dillon Motor Speedway and all of its racing patrons, Seneca sponsored ASA-sanctioned Dillon Motor Speedway’s first Racer Appreciation Day. Racing festivities began with an appreciation barbeque for all of the track’s race teams and infielders. Individuals from Seneca provided a huge tent for the event, along with barbeque, boston butts, and barbeque chicken. Darlington’s Moose Lodge #595 prepared all of the great side items, as well as served all of the racing teams.

A special “thank you” goes to Seneca and Darlington’s Moose Lodge #595 from ASA-sanctioned Dillon Motor Speedway for making the first Racer Appreciation Barbeque a huge success. It was a great relaxation time for race teams to spend with their families and friends before an intense night of racing was set to begin. As an added bonus to Racer Appreciation Day, Seneca also donated extra incentives to last Saturday night’s race winnings. They even added a little extra money to the 50/50 drawing winnings to make it more interesting and entertaining to the winning ticket holder.

With racing season coming to a close and the points championship on the line, there was indeed some of the most competitive, side-by-side racing that occurred all year. Eagerness and determination rode along in the race car with these drivers giving the fans reason enough to stay out of their seats for most of the night.
