Randel King coming off his final Speed Truck Race of the season last weekend at Havasu 99 speedway finishing second, and securing the fourth spot in series points.

Has had a year of trial and tribulations. Randel King Racing had a rough year in the Speed Trucks with a one win and several top three finishes but loosing their primary sponsor and several DNF’s due to mechanical problems they still managed to finishes the season on a good note. Randel will try his luck in the dirt this Saturday night at the Perris auto speedway. He will be driving the Luke’s Transmissions Latemodel for his first attempt on the famous dirt track. Asked how he thinks he is going to like the dirt? Randel’s response was

“I am looking forward to trying the dirt, everyone I have spoken to tells me it’s a whole different driving style. I am just hoping to learn the fast way around the track and get some good seat time and keep all the fenders on the car. I can’t thank Luke from Luke’s Transmission enough for the opportunity I will do my best and keep an open mind and to learn how to drive these cars on the dirt. I am looking forward to any opportunity to drive different type of race cars.” Randel has also been doing some testing with the open wheel cars. I have had the opportunity to test the formula 1600 at Buttonwillow with Position One Motorsports and they plan on putting me in their final race at Buttonwillow in Nov.
