TWO NIGHTS OF RACING THIS WEEKEND AT HAVASU 95 SPEEDWAY

Havasu 95 Speedway will feature two nights of racing this weekend. Friday night will feature the USAC Ford Focus Midgets, Bandoleros and Vintage Sprints & Midgets and Saturday night will again feature the USAC Ford Focus Midgets, along with the West Coast Pro Trucks, Vintage Sprints & Midgets, and Factory Stocks. There will be no Test & Tune Friday night due to the schedule change.

The USAC Ford Focus Midgets will combine the California Pavement Series and Utah Developmental Series this weekend with 30 lap features each night. Friday night is a California Pavement Series points race and Saturday night will be a points race for both series. Tim Skoglund leads the California series by 87 points over Nick Faas. Skoglund is defending series champion and won the feature when the midgets last visited Havasu in March.

The West Coast Pro Trucks will make their first of two appearances for the 2007-2008 race season. Jeff Williams is the current point leader with a 251 point lead over David Timewell. The WCPT will end their season over Thanksgiving at I-10 Speedway.

The Bandoleros will take to the track in their third race of the year. Tyler Fabozzi enters the weekend as points leader with slim 2 point lead over second place Patrick Camburn and 4 point lead over third place Trent Kassik.

The Vintage Sprints and Midgets will split time on the track this weekend by running half of the racers each night. Past races have produced great car counts and good racing. Fans of vintage sprints should not miss this opportunity.

The Factory Stocks will end Saturday nights racing activity with a 12-lap feature.

In addition to this weekends racing, Havasu 95 Speedway is kicking off the Toys for Tots Drive in conjunction with the local Kiwanis Club. Fans who bring a new, unwrapped toy (valued @ $5.00 or more) will receive ½ off the general admission ticket price. The offer does not apply to VIP or Family Pack tickets. Special two day ticket pricing is $22 for general admission, $18 for seniors and $10 for children. Single race tickets are available at regular prices with the same discount for fans who bring a toy.

Spectator gates open at 5 p.m. both nights with racing starting at 7pm both nights.
