AUSTIN REED SCORES HIS FIRST WIN IN PRIMM NV

COTO DE CAZA, California -- Austin Reed, driver of the #14 Ringers Gloves, Approved Memory, Dirt Bagz, Fox Shox, Trophy Kart in the Junior 2 Class took his first win in his qualifying heat race at Primm on Saturday. He took the lead from the start and never looked back, leading the entire race

Based upon the two race qualifiers, Austin secured his truck for a 13th place start for Saturday's main event. He worked his way up to 4th in the early laps and finished in 7th place.

Sunday's race, the last race of the season for CORR Trophy Karts, took on a different format. MMR took the top ten in points and those drivers locked up the first ten starting spots. Austin was amongst the drivers that would run a heat race to determine their starting position for the main event. He started his qualifier in 13th place where he raced hard and aggressively to bring home a solid third place finish. This was one of his best races to date he really had to work for all he got on the track.

Austin was set to start Sunday's main event in 13th place. Unfortunately, the bigger trucks and buggies took more time than mother nature allowed and time ran out to get the Trophy Kart race in as the sun set and Primm fell into darkness.

Austin finished the year in 16th place in the championship points after only running just over half of the events. Austin shared "I have really learned alot in the last half of the year as we came into the series in September in Lancaster and ran 4 of the 7 season's races, so I feel like we did pretty good. I am hoping to move to the new Modified Trophy Kart next year. We are just waiting for Trophy Kart to get the first ones ready and I hope my Dad is ready to go for it because I am. They are alot faster than what I am driving now and I feel like I am ready to move up. There is really going to be some fun places next year on the schedule I can't wait to start the next year.

Championship Off-Road Racing™ brings high action, four-wheel motor sports including both 2 and 4-wheel drive trucks to closed course off-road arenas. The 2007 CORR season included seven events at tracks located in Los Angeles and San Diego, California; Fort Worth/Dallas Texas; and Nevada.

Trophy Karts are smaller versions of the Trophy Trucks and have a Subaru 15 horsepower spec motor. Austin's Kart is prepared by DeJong Off-Road in Temecula, CA and is a teammate to Mitchell DeJong who is first in points for the Junior 1 Class. Austin Reed is the son of Dave Reed, former NASCAR championship car owner in the Southwest Series.
