TRAVIS RUTZ TO DRIVE FOR RUDEEN RACING IN 2008

MONROE, Washington Rudeen Racing officially announced today that Travis Rutz will drive the #26 Monarch Coffee, Fire-Down Graphics sprint cars in the 2008 season. The Langley,B.C. driver will drive both 410 and 360 machines for the Washington State based team. Travis will race alongside current Rudeen Racing driver Tayler Malsam (#26R) when he has time off from his ARCA/REMAX stock car schedule. The team will race at selected races up and down the the west coast and will also travel east to compete at the 49th Annual Knoxville Nationals in Iowa. " We are excited to have Travis on board for the 08 season," said team owner Kevin Rudeen." We are very fortunate to have two young and talented drivers in our stable for this upcoming year." Rutz's first race at the wheel of famed blue #26 car will be this weekend in Tulare, CA . The newly formed teammates Travis and Tayler will compete in the 14th Annual Trophy Cup at the high banked dirt oval Thunderbowl Raceway. "It's a honor to be a part of Rudeen Racing, and I'm hoping to add some trophies to the teams collection,"said Rutz, who just wrapped up the Alberta Sprint Tour Championship." It's great the team and I can get one race in together before the off season, and hopefully do some good things right off the bat," added Rutz.
Rudeen Racing hired the young Canadian driver for the amount of wins and championship he has accomplished in his young career . Travis was the youngest winner in Northern Sprint Tour history, a winner of the 360 Nationals at Skagit Speedway where he also has over 12 feature wins, and a two time winner of the Gold Cup in Edmonton, AB. Rudeen Racing will have support for the 2008 season from sponsors Monarch Coffee, MPD Racing, Fire-Down Graphics, Kaeding Performance, Astro Titanium, Speedway Autocraft, Richmond Engines, Speedmart, G-Force Racing Gear, XYZ Racing, Race Gear X, Shark Engines and Rudeen Aviation.
