Track championships for the Legend and Bandolero series and a 50 lap Street Stock feature will highlight the March 29th edition of the Winter Blast Series at the Lucas Oil I 10 Speedway. It's Larry Green Auto Night at the quarter mile paved oval located in Blythe-California. It's also the big weekend of the Colorado River Fair at the fairgrounds located adjacent to the track which means patrons can spend a fun filled afternoon enjoying the sights and sounds of the fair and then take in some first class racing later that same evening.

The EZ Up Legend Series will be crowning a new champion Saturday night and it's a strong possibility that title will go to Bree Brewer. Brewer has scored three consecutive feature wins, along with four top five finishes and that consistency has put her on top of the series standings with 198 points. Gary Scheuerell, with two top five and three top ten finishes, holds down second in the standings and is 38 points behind the leader. While a 38 point lead on the final night of the division's schedule may seem insurmountable it certainly isn't. One of racing's strongest elements is luck and that still could play a strong role in the conclusion of this championship Saturday night. Adding to the drama of this race is the $400 winner's check.

The Bandolero Division will also be wrapping up their portion of the 2007-2008 Winter Blast Series Saturday night as well by concluding a points battle that is still too close to call. Eric Sloan goes into Saturday night with 76 points primarily aided by three feature wins. But he only holds a very slim two point lead over Tyler Fabozzi who won the last feature race back on March 15th. Fabozzi is also in a position to win the Bandolero track title at the Havasu 95 Speedway as well. He's expected to be a force to be reckoned with in his quest for two track titles in the same year. The possible dark horse that could upset Sloan and Fabozzi is Alex Morgan who is third in the standings and only 16 points away from the leader.

The Torco Fuel Street Stocks will also be a big part of Saturday's racing action at the Lucas Oil I 10 Speedway and will be racing for an $800 winner's check. With only three races left in their season the street stock drivers are treating their fans to their traditional close championship points race. Going into Saturday night there are only 24 points separating the top four drivers in the standings. Danny Dill, with two feature wins, leads the standings with 360 points. Dill's current points lead was greatly aided by his March 1st feature win that awarded him double points. But he only has an eight point lead over Bryant Sutterfield who is also a feature winner this season. Still very much in this picture, and with time to move up in the standings, are Brian Crawford and Richard Selph who are 16 and 24 points respectively from the leader.

The always fun Lucas Oil Factory Stocks also has three races left in their season. John Lowrence, with two feature wins, leads the standings with 138 points but he only holds a 17 points lead over Dean Lester who also has won two features this season. Gabe Carter, yet another driver with two feature wins, is third in the rankings and is 18 points behind the leader and a single points away from second. Still very active in this championship run is Jim Burrow who sits in fourth 26 points away from the leader.

Ticket prices for Saturday night are $10 general admission. Tickets for seniors, 55 and over, as well as military personnel and the handicapped are $8. Kids prices are $5 for ages 13 to 17, $3 for ages six to 12 while kids under five are admitted free. The speedway also offers a family pack for $20 which admits two adults and two kids 17 and under.

Friday night the speedway will host a test and tune practice session, from 6 to 9 pm. On Saturday the spectator gates will be open at 12 noon with the racing getting underway later that evening at 7 pm. For more information dial up their official website at www.i10speedway.com.####
