SATURDAY’S KING TACO FAMILY NIGHT AT TOYOTA SPEEDWAY AT IRWINDALE SPEEDWAY INCLUDES SIX RACES AND FREE ADMISSION FOR KIDS

IRWINDALE, California – Coming off of last week’s sell out season opener and celebration of its 10th anniversary with the announcement of a multi-year naming rights sponsorship with the Southern California Toyota Dealers Association, this Saturday (March 29) TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale hosts King Taco Restaurants Family Night with all kids admitted for free. Six races are included on the schedule featuring five NASCAR Whelen All-American Weekly Series races and a USAC sanctioned K&N Filters Ford Focus Midget race.

The Auto Club Late Model division headlines Saturday’s schedule. Former NASCAR Grand National West driver Andrew Myers of Newport Beach scored an impressive victory in last Saturday’s season opening division race. Colin Fleming of San Diego, a former Champ Car Atlantic Series driver, competed in his first ever Late Model stock car race and notched an impressive second place finish.

All other divisions will be conducting their season openers with the exception of the Ford Focus series. Ian Miille of Pleasanton scored his initial USAC win on TOYOTA Speedway’s one-third mile oval last year and is the early series leader winning last Saturday’s USAC California Pavement Ford Focus season opener at Havasu 95 Speedway in Lake Havasu City, Ariz.

Pure Stocks competitors will compete in two races including a figure 8 race.

Spectator gates open at 4 p.m. with qualifying sessions taking place. The King Taco fan appreciation autograph session will take place at 5:45 p.m. on the track with drivers, crew members and their race cars. Green flag racing action will begin at 7 p.m.

Auto Club of Southern California members receive a 10% discount off of the purchase of up to four (4) adult general admission tickets for Saturday oval track races when they show their AAA membership card.
