75 LAPS AND DOUBLE POINTS TO HIGHLIGHT LATE MODEL ACTION AT HAVASU 95 SPEEDWAY THIS SATURDAY.There's going to be plenty of ASA Sanctioned racing action this Saturday night at the Havasu 95 Speedway. Located in beautiful Lake Havasu City-Arizona, the most scenic quarter mile asphalt oval in the southwest will treat its fans to a 75 lap double points feature from the JJ&B Late Model Series as well as plenty of action from their ASA Street Stocks, Legends, Bandolero and Factory Stock divisions.

The JJ&B Late Model Series is a special points competition shared by the Havasu 95 Speedway and the Lucas Oil I 10 Speedway located up the freeway in Blythe-California. The series has a very healthy car count and always provides the fans with plenty of on track action. The series is also providing a tight points race with only two events remaining. Bobby Keirns, and his #86 Chevrolet, leads the standings going into Saturday night with 434 points based on his seven top five finishes. He's only 20 points ahead of Kevin James' #83 Chevrolet. James won the most recent series event back on March 15th in Blythe. The points from that win has complemented his four top five finishes which has made him a championship contender. Also very much in this championship run is Mark Schriner, and his #82 Ford, who is only 24 points away from the leader. Schriner has two wins and four top fives so far in the series. Not to be overlooked is Albert Flores Jr and his #66 Chevrolet. Flores is 42 points behind the leader going into Saturday night but a strong effort on a double points night could elevate his position.

The ASA Street Stocks are also in the midst of a tight championship battle as the Havasu 95 Speedway's winter season heads towards its conclusion. Rick Layman leads the standings with 326 points based on two feature wins and four top five finishes. But he only holds an 18 point lead over Jim Carlo and Chip Campbell who are tied for second. Carlo has five top five finishes this season while Campbell has a feature win along with five top fives.

Also producing a very tight championship run are the Legends drivers. Connor Kassik leads the division standings with 156 points but it's only six markers ahead of a hard charging Derek Frolich. The numbers indicate that Frohlich is second in the standings largely because he was not present for the October 6th race. But since that time he has scored three feature wins including two consecutive features. Also very much in this points picture is Lancaster-California's Austin Murphy who is only 16 points away from the leader. Murphy also missed a series race, back on September 22nd, but has scored three consecutive top five finishes since then which has turned him into a major player for the championship.

The youngsters in the high flying Bandolero Division will also see action Saturday night at the Havasu 95 Speedway. Tyler Fabozzi has been on fire in this series and now has four feature wins in six appearances along with six top five finishes which has placed on top of the standings with 290 points. Alex Morgan, who won his first feature of the year back on March 8th, is second in the standings 26 points behind the leader. It could be a down to wire battle for second in the points standings between Morgan and Shelby Orozco who is only 28 points away from the leader and two points behind Morgan.

The always popular Factory Stocks will also get some more track time this Saturday night. Dave Buntmeyer, with nine top five finishes this year, leads the division standings with 556 points. Scott Allen and Mike Harris are tied for second 38 points behind the leader. Allen has six top five finishes this year while Harris has three wins and eight top fives. But the hard slamming action of the Factory Stocks can produce literally anything and the points numbers could easily change by the end of Saturday night.

The Havasu 95 Speedway Special events staff has once again devised another form of special entertainment during intermission. Saturday night they will treat the children to a quarter toss for kids. This special evening of racing is being presented by Gary's Auto, Marine and RV Service located in Lake Havasu City. Tickets are $12 general admission and $10 for seniors, 55 and over, handicapped and military personnel. Kids tickets are $6, for ages six to 16, while children under five are admitted free when accompanied by an adult.
