A-1 HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING TAKES ON ROOKIE SPONSORSHIP FOR RMCSROCKY MOUNTAIN CHALLENGE SERIES

"We are very excited to have A-1 back with again this year," said Mike Minegar, president of the CarbonX Rocky Mountain Challenge Series. "We continue to have more and more new drivers join the series and to be able to reward and recognize our rookie drivers goes a long way in ensuring our future.” Pat Minegar, owner of A-1 Heating and Air Conditioning, has been associated with the series since its inception five years ago and continues to be a strong supporter of all drivers. Pat Minegar also owns the 2006 championship team driven by his nephew Dave Minegar. “I flat out love racing and this series,” said Pat Minegar. “We have so much fun not only with our team but with all the guys in the pits. It is important that we are involved and the rookie program is a great way to reward and get the next generation of drivers involved in our series.” In each of the past four seasons there have been at least five registered rookies involved in the series so the competition this season for the A-1 Rookie-of-the-Year title is sure to be another exciting rookie battle. Last year’s ROTY, Matt Faulkner has moved to North Carolina. He is the team engineer for a Nascar Craftsman Truck Team. RG Motorsports #71 with ROY candidate Donny Lia at the helm. The CarbonX® Rocky Mountain Challenge Series kicks off its fifth season at Magic Valley Speedway Saturday, April 19. The teams will participate in an open test this Saturday, April 5. The CarbonX® Rocky Mountain Challenge Series will have nine points races including a first ever stop at Stateline Stadium Speedway Saturday, August 2 as part of the Idaho "200" weekend.
