Connor Kassik and Tyler Fabozzi recently concluded the 2007-08 season at Havasu 95 Speedway with championships in their respective divisions.

Kassik, of Lake Havasu City, needed only to start the season’s final race, April 19, to claim the Legends title.

“Winning the points took being at every race and being consistent,” said the 15-year-old Kassik. “This is what I was aiming for all season.”

The four-car, 12-lap feature was won by Zakary Price, also of Lake Havasu City.

Kassik, who previously raced go-karts and Bandoleros, also enjoyed a successful campaign at Lucas Oil 1-10 Speedway in Blythe, Calif. The Lake Havasu High School freshman finished third in the standings after Blythe’s final race March 29.

Fabozzi, who resides in California, finished third in the 15-lap main behind winner Shelby Orozco to secure the crown. With the victory, Fabozzi boasts the title of double-champion with his crown from I-10. He defended the Bandolero title he won during the 2006-07 season at Blythe.
