YOUNGSTERS GET IN FREE DURING THIS SATURDAY’S FAMILY NIGHT AT TOYOTA SPEEDWAY AT IRWINDALE

IRWINDALE, California -- Five races including twin ACDelco Super Late Model feature races are scheduled on Family Night this Saturday (May 3) at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. All youngsters will be admitted for free when accompanied by an adult.

Saturday’s NASCAR Whelen All-American Weekly Racing Series schedule at the Speedway also includes the Vista Paint Super Stocks, Legends Cars and the D&D Construction Specialties Bandoleros.

The Super Late Model 40 lap twin bill includes division points leader Charles Price of Redlands attempting to maintain his cushion over second place Dan Moore of Burbank and Scott Conaway of Rancho Cucamonga who are both 24 points off of the pace. Back on April 19, Nick Joanides of Woodland Hills dominated the racing action winning both ends of the twin bill.

The Vista Paint Super Stocks division returns to action with Ken Brown of Cherry Valley and Greg Crutcher of Covina tied for the division lead with 96 points apiece. Bryan Harrell of Riverside won the last race (April 19) beating Brown to the finish line by 0.594 seconds.

Former champion Tom Landreth of Alta Loma is the early season leader in the Legends Cars division with a consistent string of top three finishes in the first three races. Landreth was seeking his first win of the season in the last race (April 19) but was at edged at the finish line by Ryan Partridge of Bakersfield by a 0.104 second margin of victory.

The D&D Construction Specialties Bandoleros will kick off the evening’s racing schedule with twelve year old Aaron Anderson of Lancaster leading the division standings.

Spectator gates open at 4 PM with qualifying scheduled. The King Taco fan appreciation autograph session with drivers, crews and cars will take place on the track beginning at 5:45 PM. Green flag racing action begins at 7 PM.

Tickets are now on sale for TOYOTA Speedway’s July 4 and August 16 events featuring the NASCAR Camping World West Series 200 lap races. The July 4th event includes the Auto Club Late Model Firecracker 100 and an Independence Day fireworks show. The August 16 event includes Auto Club Late Model and King Taco Super Truck division races. Ticket prices for both events are $35.00 for reserved seats, $15.00 for adult general admission, and $7.50 for youngsters ages 6-12. Youngsters five and under are admitted for free.

Round two of the NHRA Summit ET Street Legal Drag Racing Series will take place at TOYOTA Speedway’s drag strip on Sunday, May 4. Gates open at 7 AM, tech at 8 AM with racing at 10 AM.
