HAYWIRE RACING STRIKES FIRST IN LLMRS DEBUT
LIMITED LATE MODEL RACING SERIES
Source: Haywire Racing
![]() GRAHAM, Washington -- The HayWire Motorsports team debuted the #68 KMB Design Groups / Print-NW / Ringers Gloves / Mauritsen Enterprises Toyota Camry in the 2008 Limited Late Model Racing Series season opener on May 3rd at Ephrata Raceway Park. The team suffered early engine trouble during practice, but managed to qualify the car 3rd fastest, placing them in the Trophy Dash for first event of the season. “It was great to make the Dash”, said driver “Terrible” Tim McDougald, “We had a fast car last season and engine trouble kept us from even qualifying. It seems like this place is turning into our nemesis. So it was nice to at least make the Dash.” Once the green flag flew in the season’s first Trophy Dash, “Terrible” Tim wasted no time grabbing the lead on his way to victory lane, holding off a late charge from John Boyatt, the 2007 LLMRS champion. “It was great to win that one, I dedicate that one to my crew”, said “Terrible” Tim, “They deserved that one, and it was great to go out there and get it for them. I’m very happy knowing that we put the first Toyota Camry in victory lane here in the Pacific Northwest. It’s very exciting being a part of history. It’s very cool to be different, unique, a one of a kind.” The engine troubles would plague the team and force them to sit out the remainder of the nights events. But the #68 KMB Design Groups / Print-NW / Ringers Gloves / Mauritsen Enterprises Toyota Camry left no doubt that this team and this new make are a contender. “I’m looking forward to getting to Wenatchee”, said “Terrible” Tim, “We kind of started last year the same way. Hopefully we can pull ourselves back up a little faster than last year. I know we can rebound, and I think you will see that in 3 weeks. We aren’t done, not by a long shot.” Look for the #68 KMB Design Groups / Print-NW / Ringers Gloves / Mauritsen Enterprises Toyota Camry to contend for the next trophy as the HayWire Motorsports team turn up the pressure on the 2008 LLMRS season. And be sure to catch the #92 RPM Sales & Service / Old West Graphics / Ringers Gloves / KMB Design Groups / Mauritsen Enterprises Pontiac Grand Prix on the Whelen All-American series schedule at Evergreen Speedway.
