RAINED OUT AGAIN!

Drivers, Crew Members, and Fans, please say thanks to Mother Nature this Mother’s Day. This season at South Sound Speedway has been a wet one with five of the eight scheduled races cancelled – four due to rain, and one for snow. Let’s face it, without our Mother’s, we wouldn’t be here, and without Mother Nature’s blessings, we won’t have those good weather weekends to race.

The pits were filled with Limited Late Models, Northwest Outlaw Street Stocks, Pro 4 Trucks, and the Northwest Legends this weekend, May 10, 2008. All four divisions had good car counts.

Just before qualifying, the sky’s darkened and it started to lightly rain. Within 10 minutes, the heavy rains were upon us and the racing was cancelled.

Butch, Maureen, Nick and the entire Staff at South Sound Speedway, want to wish Mother Nature and all the racing Mom’s a Happy Mother’s Day and a big Thank You for everything you have done to make our lives better.

Upcoming racing at South Sound Speedway: Saturday, May 17, 2008 features the Super Stock 100, WESCO, Super 4’s, Mini Stocks, and Mini Cup Future Stars.

Then on MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND, we have 3 days of racing coming your way, starting with Saturday, May 24, 2008, the Super 4 100, Limited Late Models, Pure Stocks, Baby Grands, and Bumblebees.

Sunday, May 25, 2008, come watch the Vintage Modifieds, Pure Stocks, Mini Stocks, Mini Cup Future Stars, and the Baby Grands compete in more night racing. For the night races, the back gate opens at 1:00 PM; front gate opens at 4:45 PM with qualifying starting at 5:00 PM, and racing at 6:30 PM.

Monday, May 26, RAIN OR SHINE – we will have the second Bumblebee Enduro day race. Racing starts at 2:00 PM.
