ASA NORTHWEST SPRINT CAR SERIES 3RD RACE OF THE 2008 CHAMPIONSHIP SEASON MAY 17THEVERETT, Washington - The American Speed Association/Northwest Sprintcar Racing Association (ASA/NSRA) drivers and teams continue their quest for the win and the points championship. May 17th the ASA/NSRA teams will descend upon Wenatchee Valley Super Oval (WVSO) to battle for the night’s checkered flag and to gather the ever valuable points towards the 2008 season championship ! Having 20 or more winged sprint cars battling for positions, trying to earn every point possible provides for unparalleled excitement on the quarter mile paved oval !

The Wenatchee Valley Super Oval is currently a quarter mile lightly banked paved race track. WVSO will provide the ASA/NSRA cars with a tighter track to get around than the three-eighths mile Douglas County Speedway just three weeks ago requiring teams to have an even more precise chassis setup for their sprint cars to compete for the win.

Expected at WVSO are current points leader Justin Mack driving the # 17 car, the 2006 ASA/NSRA season champion Jeff Montgomery currently second in the points championship by just one point in the # 33j car, third in season points Matt Hein in the 98h car, fourth in points Jake Mann in the # 51 car, fifth in points the returning 2007 champion Andy Alberdine in the #76 car, sixth in points Adam Roduner in the # 82 car, seventh in points the teenage driver Cory Lockwood wheeling the # 99r car, eighth in points Rick Brown, tied for ninth in points R.J. Fronsman returning to the series in the # 25z car, tied for eleventh another teenage driver Sierra Jackson in the # 25j car, also tied for eleventh Brett Smith in the # 9 car, Greg Middendorf in the # 4 car, Tony Thomas in the # 57 car, and Todd Coleman in the # 44 car.

ASA/NSRA is the most exciting opened wheel racing on the west coast and by far the fastest. NSRA drivers currently hold 20 all time track records at venues throughout the region. These are open wheeled, winged sprint cars running on paved ovals utilizing 750 horsepower alcohol-burning engines running on tracks that vary in length from quarter mile to five-eights mile facilities.####
