AUSTIN CAMERON AND THE NAPA AUTOCARE TOYOTA TEAM RACING TO IOWA NASCAR WEST SERIES RACE

Antelope, CA – After leading the most laps at the last race Austin Cameron and the No. 18 NAPA AutoCare Toyota team have some unfinished business. The team is looking for a win as they head to the Mid-West to compete in the U.S. Cellular “200” at Iowa Speedway. The NASCAR Camping World Series race will run on Sunday afternoon May 18th in Newton, Iowa and be televised live on HDHet. This is the first time Cameron will compete at Iowa Speedway. For this event, he will pilot the No. 14 NAPA AutoCare Toyota Camry (duplicate car numbers will have the No. 18 NAPA AutoCare Toyota team running as the No. 14). He is currently third in the chase for the West Series championship after three races.

The No. 18 NAPA AutoCare Toyota team from BMR are looking to record their first win of the season. Returning to the team for this race event is veteran NASCAR crew chief Mike Steurer. He served as a crew chief for BMR in the late 90’s.

“I’m really excited that Mike is on board,” Cameron said. “I was at the shop Friday and we went over the car’s setup. The NAPA AutoCare Toyota looks amazing. We’re ready to win this race.”

Cameron has shown he can get the job done with 15 wins, more than any other active driver in the series. Look for Cameron to be running at the front of the field of 44 drivers from the NASCAR Camping World Series East and NASCAR Camping World West. It is the only combination point race this season for the NASCAR Camping World Series. This is only the second time the teams have raced at Iowa Speedway.

The “U.S. Cellular 200” at Iowa Speedway will be on Sunday, May 18th. The race will be televised live on HDNet at 2:15 pm PST and broadcast in an enhanced replay on SPEED Channel. The “US Cellular 200” is the fourth event on the 2008 schedule for the NASCAR Camping World Series West and the second event for the NASCAR Camping World Series East.
