AUCKERMAN ON FEVER 4 WINNING STREAK POST FALLS, Idaho – Mel Auckerman picked up his third Fever 4 win of the season and his second victory in a row during Wednesday Night Fever at Stateline Speedway. Russell Syverson and Vern Dorsey also captured the checkers.

Auckerman passed race leader Brycen Tarr mid race through lapped traffic to pick up the victory in the 30-lap Fever 4 main event. The race was red flagged with 10-laps to go after a major oil spill sent cars sliding off the track in turn one.

On the restart, Auckerman pulled away for a dominating victory. Rich Hatton finished second, fast dash winner Craig O’Neal third. Andrew McKee and heat winner Colton Garber rounded out the top five.

Patrick Norris won the B dash. Dave Frank won a heat race. Auckerman also set fast time.

Russell Syverson held off Tim Benn with five laps to go for the win in the Road Runner 20-lap main event. Benn, who finished second, had the faster car at the end of the race but hit the backstretch wall in the closing laps while trying to pass Syverson.

Steve Mathers finished third, Steve Schovaers fourth followed by early race leader Shane Zettle in fifth. Mary Anne Benn won the B Main. Dan Martin took the victory in the 15-lap C Main event.

Jamie Allen and Devin Rupert won heats and dashes. Steve Peterson and Beau Morehouse won dashes. Brenden Tarr and Thomas Husk won heats.

Vern Dorsey set fast time and survived a front stretch pile up to win the Bump to Pass main event. Yvonne Lifsey won the dash and heat.

The wild, wacky, unpredictable action of Wednesday Night Fever continues every Wednesday at 6pm with the cars and superstars of the Road Runners, Fever 4’s, plus the wild and crazy Bump to Pass division. Adults are just $5.75; kids under the age of nine accompanied by adults are free.

Saturday the Northwest Modifieds kick off their 2008 season at Stateline Speedway. Coeur d’ Alene’s Blaine Sneva is expected to participate. A stout field of Northwest Legends along with Hobby Cars will also be on track.

Adult admission is $12.75; kids under the age of six are free. Events start at 6pm with qualifying.
