ARCA WEST LMCS HEADS TO MONTANA FOR A SPECIAL 150-LAP EVENT FEATURING A RECORD $50K PAYOUTARCA WEST LMCS
Source: AW LMCS Media
This highly anticipated event is the only visit of the AW LMCS this season to the tricky 3/8th mile asphalt oval located in beautiful Western Montana, and one of the highlight events on the series’ nine race 2008 touring schedule. Special interest will be how well the drivers and teams adapt to a track that many have not seen nor set foot on in several years. Mission Valley Speedway’s Don Staggs and Corky Sias, and AW LMCS Director of Competition Jerry Losch worked diligently in the off season to structure an exciting two-day race event for the Northwest’s premier Late Model touring series. Special thanks go to Patricia ‘Chuckie’ McClure for key sponsorship of this special event.
Montana has a proven track record of drawing the best LM drivers to the region for large purse events, classically the annual Montana 200 held in July at Montana Raceway Park. With the special purse offered this Memorial Day weekend at Mission Valley Speedway, spectators will witness many of the same competitors all vying for a big piece of the $50,000.00 purse. Few races in the Northwest region offer such a large winner’s check, therefore the competition and racing action will be high. Only a handful of drivers can cla im title to winning a $10,000.00 paycheck, so look for a mix of old veterans and young guns battling for bragging rights after 150 grueling laps at Montana’s longest and fastest asphalt track.
“This is an exciting event for both the ARCA West Circle K series and the Flathead Lake racing community. The Northwest’s top Late Model drivers again get the opportunity to show their stuff at Mission Valley after nearly two years absence,” stated Jerry Losch. “We have run at this facility several times in the past and it has proven to be a real driver’s track. I expect a full field of the Northwest’s most talented drivers to compete at this event, as this venue definitely has been highly anticipated by many teams.”
The ARCA West Circle K Late Model Challenge Series has continued to grow in popularity over nine seasons to become a premier Late Model program in the Northwest. The series maintains the region’s highest average car count per race and has hosted record setting events at many venues. Spectators are sure to witness one of the season’s largest, most competitive gatherings of the Northwest’s finest stock car teams with the return of the AW LMCS to Mission Valley Speedway this Saturday and Sunday.
