CUT TIRE COSTLY FOR HAASENASCAR WEST SERIES
Source: Kyle Busch Motorsports
![]() Alex would like to thank Tom Busch, Richie Wauter, the #51 crew and of course his car owner, Kyle Busch for giving him the opportunity to run at Iowa Speedway. Alex went to Iowa with alot of confidence after the team tested there a few weeks earlier. The crew was very happy with the way Alex adapted to the 7/8th mile track. The #51 Kyle Busch Motorsports/Electric Sunglass sponsored crew rolled in on Saturday morning and the car was great right off the trailer. They made some minor adjustments and after the 1 1/2 hour practice they had Alex first on the leader board. " I was very happy with the car. We were up against some very tough competition this last weekend, with a field of 54 great drivers. I feel that we went there with great equipment and a great crew and felt that we should be on top." stated Alex.
Alex proceeded to do well on Sunday and posted the 3rd fastest time in qualifying. He started on the second row inside of Kasey Kahne and was just going to hang out for several laps. He had settled into 6th place when on lap 55 he cut down a tire that put him into the outside wall, which ended his day. It was hard to have to end the day in such a bad way when he had such a great weekend going. He will go on to get ready for his next PASS South race on June 7, 2008 at Orange County Speedway in Rougemont, NC.
