HOLMES AND THE NO. 20 NAPA TOYOTA TEAM WIN THE NCWS TOYOTA/NAPA 150

ANTELOPE, California – Bill McAnally Racing’s driver Eric Holmes and the No. 20 NAPA Auto Parts Toyota team won the Toyota/NAPA 150 at Colorado National Speedway last Saturday night. The victory gave Holmes his third win in five races this season in the NASCAR Camping World Series West and closed the gap on the series points lead. Holmes is second in the chase for the title and only 35 points out of first.

Holmes started on the pole for the second time this season. He demonstrated the dominance of the No. 20 NAPA Auto Parts Toyota by leading 116 of the 150-lap race. There was only one other lead change at the restart of lap 26 by Mike David but Holmes moved back out front at lap 51 and never looked back.

“We knew how important it would be to start up front,” said Holmes. “The BMR/NAPA team and our crew chief Ty Joiner gave me a great car. I can’t say enough about them. Our short track program is spot on. Everyone has been doing their job and it shows on the track.”

“Traffic was tough and I was trying to be as patient as I could be. The No. 20 NAPA Toyota Camry just got faster when I slowed down,” laughed Holmes. “The track just fits my driving style.”

“There were over 700 people from NAPA Auto Parts and Toyota cheering us on in turn two. It was like having another member on the pit crew. They expected us to win and we came thru. I want to thank NAPA Auto Parts, Toyota, Bill McAnally, Ty Joiner and the team. Also my mom and everyone back home.”
