BENNETT LANE WINERY 200 NASCAR WEST SERIES FEATURED ON SATURDAY OF RACE WEEKEND

SONOMA, California – The West Coast’s oldest stock car series returns for a third consecutive year to Infineon Raceway for the Bennett Lane Winery 200, presented by Supercuts.

The NASCAR Camping World Series West is the featured event on Saturday, June 21, of the Toyota/Save Mart 350 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series event weekend (June 20-22), and the 64-lap main event is sure to be filled with fireworks.

This marks the sixth stop on the 13-race schedule for the West Series, which is headlined by Mike David, who pilots the Bennett Lane Winery Ford. David leads the point standings entering Sonoma with four top-five efforts in five starts this year, including a win in Phoenix. The Modesto resident is seeking his second straight West Series championship in 2008.

Other top drivers entered in the event include Escalon’s Eric Holmes, who has a series-best three wins this year, including the last race in Colorado. Fairfield’s Jim Inglebright is always a crowd favorite, having won three NASCAR Southwest Series races at Infineon Raceway (2000-02). He is seventh in points with a win at Iowa Speedway earlier this year.

The race has also attracted a number of Sprint Cup Series regulars over the years, including David Gilliland, who won last year’s event in the Sonoma Valley. Brian Vickers took the checkers in 2006.
