The #52 A.J. Fugitt brought the field around for the start and led the first 11 laps until he was passed by the #9X Rhodes on lap 12. Rhodes in first, and Monroe, Washington’s #5 Tom Moriarity, driving the Brock Rentals Inc/Total Machine Concepts Chevrolet Monte Carlo in second, put on a show for the fans for the next 34 laps, with Moriarity wrestling the lead away on lap 47. Moriarity would go on to win the Super Stock 100-Lap Main Event, and receive the Cope Brothers Racing Engines $200.00 for winning his fourth Main Event in a row at the West Coast’s fastest 3/8’s mile paved oval. Rounding out their top five were runner up Dirk Stephens, Jeremy Richardson, AJ Fugitt, and Jim Wilcox.
The Top Notch Trailer Street Stocks saw Longview, Washington’s #41 Dan Walker set fast time with a 15.659. Winning their Trophy Dash was #47 Kevin Carver. The top three in their A-Heat were winner Carver, Bobby Micielli, and Josh Wilson. The top three in their B-Heat were winner #83 Jim Lovelace, Dave Knittle, and Scott Johnson.
The #11 Steve Sawyer would bring the field around for the green flag start but it was Spanaway, Washington’s #47 Carver, driving the Transmission Sales & Service Chevrolet Camaro leading the first lap. Carver would go on to lead all 35 laps of the Street Stock Main Event and collect his first win of the season at South Sound Speedway. Rounding out their top five were runner up Brad Borton, Mike Easley, Micielli, and Walker.
The Hinkle Homes Pure Stocks saw no Qualifying this week with the line up set by points. Their Trophy Dash winner was #22 Kenny Erickson. The top three in their Heat race were winner #24 Marshall Hallett, Scott Johnson, and Rick Casebolt. The #24 Hallett would bring the field around for the start and lead the first three laps. On lap four, Lake Tapps, Washington’s #22 Erickson, driving the Prime Time Racing Chevrolet Nova passed Hallett for the lead and went on to win the Pure Stock 25-Lap Main Event. Rounding out their top five were runner up Hallett, Don Briggs, JR., Casebolt, and Leon Collins.
The Washington Midget Racing Association saw the #23 Mark Atkinson set fast time with a 13.210. The winner of their Trophy Dash was #8 Spence Gatrell. The top three in their A-Heat were winner #5 Mitch Hoffses, Logan Forler, and Dan Fisher. The top three in their B-Heat were winner #98 Rick Brown, Tony Seidelman, and Brea Lopez.
The #24 Dave Hoene would bring the field around for the start, but the #6 Darren Linder would lead the first lap until the #35 Lopez moved into the lead on lap two. Lopez would lead until lap 18 when #23 Atkinson would take away the lead and go on to win the Midgets 30-Lap Main Event. Rounding out their top five were runner up Seidelman, Linder, Kerstin Smutny, and Forler.
