HOLMES AND THE NAPA TEAM LOOKS TO CONTINUE THE WINNING TRADITION OF BMR

ANTELOPE, California –The Bill McAnally Racing/NAPA AUTO PARTS team knows how to get it done at the Toyota Speedway at Irwindale. The NAPA team has won eight of the last eleven NASCAR Camping World Series West races held at the speedway since 2001. Eric Holmes, pilot of the No. 20 NAPA AUTO PARTS Toyota Camry looks to add his name to the list which includes NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver Brendan Gaughan, West Series crew chief Steve Portenga, East Series driver Brian Ickler and his teammate Austin Cameron.

Holmes, the 2006 NASCAR Camping World Series West Champion, continues to show he that knows how to put the No. 20 NAPA Toyota in Victory Lane. This season, he and the No. 20 NAPA team from BMR have top the charts with three victories and currently lead the field in the chase for the 2008 series championship. He also has three Coors Light Pole Awards this season.

“Irwindale is tough fast track that has become very slick,” said Holmes. “My first West series race there in 2006 we won the pole and finished 2nd to Andrew Myers in a photo finish. Irwindale is a track that I have had a lot of good runs but my only victories there came in the 2004 NASCAR Toyota All-Star Showdown in the NASCAR Elite Series. The whole BMR/NAPA Toyota team and I are very confident that we have a good shot at winning our 4th race of the year with the success we both have had there.”

The California Highway Patrol “200” will be televised live on HDNet and be presented in an enhanced replay on SPEED Channel on July 18th at 1:30 pm EST.
