- Local favorite, Chris Hart, captured one of his two career victories at Yakima Speedway back in 1999. Hart also has two career Bud Pole Awards at his home track.
STAT OF THE WEEK:
Yakima Speedway has played host to the Raybestos Brakes Northwest Series 25 times since 1985. In that time, Chevrolet has dominated the manufacturer competition with 17 victories. Ford and Pontiac are tied with four wins respectively. Garrett Evans and Kevin Quesnell steered Chevrolet to victory at Yakima during the 2000 season. Gary Lewis notched Pontiac’s fourth win last summer.

Pete Harding led the first three laps around Yakima Speedway before Gary Lewis took the point on the fourth lap. Kevin Quesnell passed fellow Yakima native, Zaretzke, on lap 117 and held off Shane Biles down the stretch to capture his first career win on the Raybestos Brakes Northwest Series, NASCAR Touring division.
