Las Vegas Motor Speedway Donating Tickets for Youngsters to Experience the Action at Saturday’s "Nevada 100" NASCAR Race - LOS ANGELES, CA (October 8, 2001) SMART Industries announces that NASCAR driver Troy Adams, along with CBA Motorsports crew chief Vince Barnes, team owner Clarence Broussard, as well as the CBA hauler and race car will make a special appearance at the Andre Agassi Boys & Girls Club of Las Vegas (800 N. Martin Luther King) on October 11, 2001. At 4:00 p.m., Troy and the team will roll out the modified Chevy Monte Carlo, answer questions and discuss their sport to the more than one hundred young people expected to attend. As part of the event, Las Vegas Motor Speedway will donate tickets for Saturday’s Featherlight Southwest Series NASCAR Touring race to all young people in attendance. On Saturday, October 13 at 6:30 p.m., Troy Adams and Sean Monroe, both promising, young CBA drivers within the Featherlight Southwest Series NASCAR Touring Series, will take to the track for the "Nevada 100" at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (7000 Las Vegas Blvd., North). CBA Motorsports team sponsor Stagg Chili will be sampling their product within the vendor area of the track both Saturday and Sunday. According to CBA Motorsports owner Clarence Broussard, the Boys & Girls Club event drives home an important message about today’s professional racing scene. "We’re seeking to expose young people of all ethnicities to the opportunities within motorsports," said Broussard. "Involvement in racing, especially driving, usually starts very young. We’d like to show those who have not necessarily been represented in racing what is possible and that they can be a part of this exciting, rewarding sport."
