This Saturday, July 6th, at South Sound Speedway the NASCAR Weekly Racing Series, presented by Dodge, will make it's sixth showing of the season on the 3/8ths mile oval. The series includes the Late Model Super Stocks and Top Notch Trailer Street Stocks. Joining them will be the NW Legends and Bandoleros.

The points are tight in the Late Model Super Stocks. Nick Behn leads right now by only 10 points over Ray Wallace in second. In third is Eric Tibbitts who trails Wallace by only four points. Roger Drake and Mike Olson sit fourth and fifth with only four points between them. Only two points separate Jim Clair and Amber Cope for tenth and eleventh. Coming close to winning many times are Bob Presley and Eric Tibbitts. With only five different winners, these two are due to make it six and seven.

Chad Hinkle has the points lead in the Top Notch Trailer Street Stocks. After last week's main win, Hinkle has three under his belt for this season. JJ Hamilton is second in the points and Bill Manney is comfortably third, each having one win. Mark Boehi and Brad Borton are separated by two points for third and fourth. Neither driver has a win but each has been finishing well all season. After a disappointing accident last time out, it is hoped that Borton will be back out. Close behind Boehi and Borton, 13 points to be exact, is Bobby Micielli. Micielli has not yet won this season but finished third two races ago and second last week. If the pattern continues, he could be the next winner.

In the NW Legends, Dave VanAmburg leads the Master division by over 200 points on Bob Kronenberg. Rich Spooner has an 18 point lead over Garrett Haxby in the Pro division. Six points behind Haxby is Duane Swanson. In the Semi-Pro Division, Rick McNeill has a four point lead over Jeff Harris. Mitchel Ferderer took back the second position behind Craig Derksen in the Bandoleros. Dropping to third was Andrew Caddell with Justin Jackson and Justin Glave in fourth and fifth.

South Sound Speedway is located off I-5 exit 88 or 88A. You can check results and stories form this and every weekend's racing at www.southsoundspeedway.com. ####
