BIG RIGS RETURN

TENINO, Washington -- The North American Big Rigs (NABR) are making their annual trip to South Sound Speedway this Saturday July 20th. Joining the action is the NASCAR Weekly Racing Series, presented by Dodge. The Late Model Super Stocks and Top Notch Trailer Street Stocks will be competing in twin main event.

The NABR Big Rigs will have ten or more trucks to fill up the track. They are loud and action packed. Trucks have been sent over the wall and have hit the walls. Mike Gibbons and Todd Reed of Rochester are bringing their Peterbuilt trucks out. The city of Calgary is bringing five trucks. Pete VanDyke will be there also. Last year he put on an amazing smoke show for the crowd.

The Late Model Super Stock action has been tough this season. Nick Behn has won five main events and Ray Wallace has won three main events. Dan Obrist won his second main event, last time out. The car count grew also with the addition of Mike Obrist, Willy Thom and Chad Hinkle and the return of Angela and Amber Cope. Eric Tibbitts has been running strong all season but has yet to get a win. This big weekend could be his.

JJ Hamilton trails Chad Hinkle in the Top Notch Trailer Street Stock point standings by less than 25 points. Bill Manney, Mark Boehi and Bobby Micielli are close behind. Hamilton scored his second main win last week out. John Owenby Jr., Dan Woodard and Tom Richmond joined the regular runners last weekend. Owenby had an outstanding night by winning the dash and heat. Joe Swanson was back and has had good luck in the previous twin 25s. Bobby Micielli is due for a win as well as Mark Boehi.
