THANK YOU TO ALL WHO GAVECOMMUNITY CARES
Source: THE RACING COMMUNITY
The following people donated funds to bring Peter-John, a young profoundly deaf and legally blind race fan to Wenatchee Valley Super Oval. Peter-John will represent all handicapped when he breaks NASCAR history by using American Sign Language to give the “gentleman, start your engines, command” for the NORTHWEST RACING ENTERPIRSISES 150. There may be shoot-outs on tracks and discussions on what drivers and/or which series are better, but when it is time to come together, this serves as a testament of what can be done when the drivers, teams and racing community pull together. The Southwest Series did not look at it as a something only to benefit the NWT, they saw an opportunity to help a child and they did. And no one that gave did so for the attention or to publicize themselves, they all gave from their heart. Their helpfulness not only covers Peter-John’s travel costs, but enough money was donated that there is extra money to share with the Northwest Chaplin (not paid by MRO).
THE ONES THAT MADE IT HAPPEN:
Thank you to those that gave.
