JELLY BELLY LOOKS FOR A WIN IN OREGONROCKLIN, California -- Driver of the #20 Jelly Belly Chevrolet, Jim Inglebright considers short track racing to the best racing in the NASCAR Grand National Division Winston West Series. The team recorded their first win in the series at a short track and is confident they can record a second win this season as they next race in the “NAPA 200” NASCAR Winston West Series race at the Douglas County Speedway in Roseburg, Oregon. This is only the second NASCAR Winston West Race to be held in Roseburg, Oregon in over three decades.

“It’s going to be a very exciting race,” said Inglebright. “We’d like to repeat what legendary driver Hershel McGriff did here in 1971 and that is to win from the pole. The Jelly Belly team has been working hard to prepare for this race and to put the Jelly Belly Chevrolet back where she belongs, on the podium. Our focus will be getting the Jelly Belly car to Victory Lane for the second time this year.”

“I have had such great support from the fans and my sponsor, Jelly Belly. We’ve been struggling a bit in the last few races and they continue to cheer the loudest. We can’t do this without them. I want to thank them for all their continuing support.”

Team owner, Bill McAnally, for the past two years has been the promoter for the “NAPA 200” event at the Douglas County Speedway.

“Last year, we had a spectacular turnout for this race here in Roseburg,” said McAnally. “It was a great event. The word got out that there was going to be a NASCAR event in Oregon and people came to support the event from all over the region. We look forward to giving them another great race this year.”

The “NAPA 200” will take place on Saturday night, September 20th at the Douglas County Speedway in Roseburg, Oregon. Gates open at 4 pm with the main event scheduled to take place at 8:30 pm. Tickets are available at the fairgrounds or at any local NAPA AUTO PARTS store in the Roseburg area. More information is available at www.co.douglas.or.us .

To kick off the event, there will be a ‘Hauler Parade’ that will begin at the Seven Feathers Hotel & Casino Truck stop at I-5 exit 99 and will continue through

the city of Roseburg with a police escort and finish at the Douglas County Speedway beginning at 1 pm followed by an autograph session at the speedway from 3 to 5 pm. The autograph session is open to the general public and all are welcome.
